Web Development

I have been developing web pages for approximately 13 years. I am very proficient in HTML and CSS. I am moderately experienced in JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. I am also very proficient in graphic editing using Paint Shop Pro and GIMP. I have a moderate amount of experience with Adobe Photoshop.

I have approximately 13 years of experience in HTML, and almost about as many years of experience with CSS -- just a few years less with CSS. I am not very artistically inclined, so I do not normally design the websites that I develop, but I do have extensive experience in customizing already-existing website designs. My strength lies not in making the website "pretty," but making it "work" and be interactive.

Although I do not normally create website designs, I do have two years of experience in creating customized templates for email marketing newsletters.

I have experience with the following content management systems:

• Business Catalyst (2 years experience)
• DotNetNuke (2 years experience)
• Drupal (3 years experience)
• PHP-Nuke (1 year experience)
• Wordpress (approximately 11 years experience)

For all of the above, I have experience with the following:

• CMS installation and set up
• Installation, set up, and customization of CMS templates/themes
• Installation, set up, and customization of CMS modules
• Transfer of content into pages in the CMS
• Troubleshooting of any CMS issues, should any arise
• Training end users to use the CMS
• Website maintenance (usually content updates)
• Backing up the CMS
• Upgrading the CMS

I also have a limited amount of experience with the Joomla CMS.
